Prescriptions that arrive complete.
RxPortal gives your compounding pharmacy its own prescriber website. Prescribers order from your formulary, fill in every required field, sign, and follow the order. You get one clean queue and a record of every lot you dispense.
RxPortal is new and in pilot, so a demo shows exactly what is built today. Ask for a demo opens an email to us.

The fax is where orders go wrong.
A faxed or phoned-in prescription leaves the hard part to your staff.
- Quantity
- Left blank
- Dose
- Hard to read
- Signature
- Missing from page 2
- Into your system
- Typed again by hand
Each one is a phone call, a delay, and a chance for error.
Complete before it reaches you.
A prescription can’t be signed until these are in place.
- Your formulary, and only yours. Prescribers choose from the products and sizes you publish. Out-of-stock and controlled items can’t be ordered.
- Every line fully written. Dose, route, frequency, directions, quantity and refills are required on each item.
- The attestation, when it applies. A compounded item can’t be signed without the prescriber’s compounding attestation.
- Signed by name. The prescriber types their name to sign. Change anything afterwards and the signature is cleared.
- Fewer duplicate patients. When a prescriber adds a patient the pharmacy already has, with exactly the same name and date of birth, they’re offered that record instead of creating a new one.
- Sent once. A double-click or a second submit still makes one order.
Questions stay with the order.
Ask the prescriber in a secure thread on the order. They change it, sign again, and it comes back to you as version 2, with the same order number.
No call-back slips and no second fax. The question, the answer and both signed versions stay on one record your staff can open later.
Order DCP-261105-006Example; invented names.
- Version 1, signed
Sermorelin acetate, 30 units at bedtime. Signed by Dr. Sam Patel.
- Clarification needed
“Please confirm the dosing schedule: nightly, or 5 nights a week as in the directions?”
- Version 2, signed again
Edited and re-signed by the prescriber. Same order number, back in your queue as Submitted.
One queue, from Submitted to Shipped.
Every order from every prescriber, with the status your staff set. Prescribers see each change on their side.
- Submitted
- Received
- Clarification needed
- Compounded
- Ready

A “Typed into PMS” box on each order: mark it once it’s in your pharmacy system, to help keep orders from being entered twice or missed.
Filter by status, prescriber, patient, date or fulfillment, or show only what isn’t in your system yet. When a prescriber asks to cancel, the order says so, and you confirm or decline.

Know which patients got lot 24-0613.
Lot number and expiration are required for each dispensed item before an order can be marked Ready.
When a lot is in question, look it up: every patient, order and prescriber who received it, in one list you can export. The lookup and the export are both logged.
- Required before Ready. An order can’t move to Ready with a line that has no lot.
- Corrections kept. A changed lot is a new entry; the earlier one stays in the history.
- Expired lots caught. An order with an expired lot can’t be marked Ready.
Your name on the door.
Your logo, your colors, your own portal address. Prescribers see your pharmacy. RxPortal stays in the background.
yourpharmacy.rxportal.app
Your portal’s address, with your pharmacy’s name in front.
- You approve every prescriber. Nobody orders until you say so.
- VIP pricing. For the prescribers you choose, a standing discount on the reference prices they see.
- A reason to stay. Prescribers start a renewal from a past order in a few clicks, then review and re-sign it. They see the items they prescribe most, follow every status and print any prescription.
Built carefully.
The safeguards a pharmacy should expect, in place today.
- Two-step sign-in available. With a passkey or an authenticator app.
- Each pharmacy kept apart. Enforced in the database itself.
- Sensitive fields encrypted. Prescription contents, patient contact details and allergies, messages.
- An audit log. The app can add to it, never edit it.
- Staff permissions. You choose who can change the catalog, approve prescribers or export records.
- Encrypted nightly backups. Kept 14 days.
No system is perfectly secure, and we don’t claim RxPortal is. Your pharmacy keeps its own HIPAA obligations. Ask us about a business associate agreement.
What it doesn’t do.
Better you hear it now than find it in week two.
- It never takes payment. Prices are shown to prescribers for reference only.
- It doesn’t connect to your pharmacy system. Your staff enter each order there as they do now, and tick it off in RxPortal.
- It doesn’t e-prescribe controlled substances. Scheduled products can’t be ordered through it.
- It doesn’t replace your fax line. Prescribers who aren’t on the portal yet can keep sending orders the way they do today.
See it with your own formulary.
Email us your pharmacy’s name and how prescribers send orders today. We’ll walk you through both sides of the portal and talk through what pricing would look like for you.
